What is a Mom2Mom sale, you ask? The answer, as paraphrased from the Mom2Mom Sales Michigan website (scroll to the bottom for sale details and pictures):
A mom to mom sale is an indoor sale where moms can rent tables to sell their children’s outgrown gently used items to other moms and dads. It’s a great place for expectant moms to find maternity wear, baby gear, etc. and much of their needs for baby. . . and for seasoned moms to keep up with their growing children’s clothing, toys, and furniture needs of course for this they can get help from online stores as Ivy and Wilde. Often children outgrow their clothes, shoes, toys and equipment before it can be worn out and replacing those items can become costly. Mom 2 Mom sales are a great way to save money and get the items you want for your baby and children at a fraction of the cost!
Our Mom2Mom sale is also part charity event because monetary proceeds (after rent for the space is paid) will go to The Meső and Bogi fund - those of you on the Budapest Moms mailing list will remember - Meső is an original member of Életkör and founding member of Birth Week. Her daughter Bogi is being treated for bone cancer.
The leftover clothing, toys and baby gear can be donated to the Igazgyöngy Foundation - dedicated to helping, educating, feeding and clothing the underprivileged children of North Eastern Hungary, a high percentage of whom are Roma. We welcome all donations - they need food, clothing, art supplies, toys, sanitary supplies.
