Recruiting for Hungarian lessons now

by Réka Morvay on January 4, 2024

New groups are forming in January! From beginning to advanced.

We are offering Hungarian classes at various levels at Életkör (II. Szilágyi Erzsébet fasor 61, near János kórház), with a babysitting option. The lessons are held by a highly qualified Hungarian-as-a-foreign-language teacher. The babysitting is provided by one or two native English speakers in an adjacent room, so we are able to accommodate the tiniest babies, too (if you don’t mind nursing during a lesson). :)

Times: still negotiable

Location: Életkör, II. Szilágyi Erzsébet fasor 61. 1st floor #3. Életkör buzzer (map)

Teacher: Irisz Ihnatisin, licensed professional Hungarian as a foreign language teacher, with 10 years of teaching experience

Cost: HUF 32 000 for 8 90-minute lessons and HUF 1000 per child for babysitting only when and if you need it

Payment for 8 lessons is due in advance when you sign up. Childcare is pay-as-you-go.

We need at least 2 people per group to sign up to start the class.

The lessons are conversational and focused on providing you with “survival skills” to manage everyday situations in Hungary. Instruction will be primarily in the target language. We are also offering a free orientation / evaluation session with the teacher. This will be your opportunity to meet the teacher and ask her your questions regarding the classes, and for her to assess your level and determine which group fits you the best. This orientation session will be held in English for your convenience.
