Critical Moms Budapest

Ever been frustrated by the lack of accessibility in Budapest?

Buses with doors that are not wide enough to admit a baby stroller. Trams with insurmountable steps. No ramp up or down the stairs to the post office. Elevators that you can barely squeeze into by yourself, let alone with a pram or a toddler on wheels. These are just some of the (not so small) annoyances faced by mothers with babies and small children.

If you would like to do something about it, join the Critical Moms Budapest peaceful stroll through the city with baby carriages, wraps, and children’s scooters and bikes to demonstrate for better accessibility options for mothers with small children.

When: Saturday, September 25 at 10 am.

Where: Nyugati tér, in front of the Bajcsy-Zsilinszky út bookstore

Route: Nyugati tér - Bajcsy-Zsilinszky út - Deák tér

” We welcome anyone who feels there is still a lot left to do in order to make this city accessible. Bring your children in strollers, on foot, on scooter or in carriers,” say the organizers.
