Beginner Hungarian classes with childcare

by Réka Morvay on August 30, 2010

Study Hungarian while your baby or child is entertained in the next room!

Beginner-level Hungarian lessons with childcare start the first week of September at Életkör. The lessons are held by a highly qualified Hungarian-as-a-foreign-language teacher. The babysitting is provided by one or two native English speakers in an adjacent room, so we are able to accommodate the tiniest babies, too (if you don’t mind nursing during a lesson). :)

Times: Monday and Wednesday from 1:30 pm – 3:00 pm OR Tuesday and Friday from 11:30 am – 1 pm (yes, it’s possible to attend Monday-Friday or Wednesday-Thursday if that fits your schedule better)
Location: Életkör, II. Szilágyi Erzsébet fasor 61. 1st floor #3. Életkör buzzer (map)
Teacher: Irisz Ihnadisin, licensed professional Hungarian as a foreign language teacher, with 15 years of teaching experience
Cost: HUF 32 000 for 8 lessons and HUF 1000 per child for babysitting only when and if you need it
Orientation and signups: September 4th from 10 am to 11 am at Életkör
Payment for 8 lessons (1 month) is due in advance at signup. Childcare is pay-as-you-go.
We need 3 people per group to sign up to start the class.

The lessons are conversational and focused on providing you with “survival skills” to manage everyday situations in Hungary. Instruction will be primarily in the target language. We are also offering a free orientation session with the teacher on Saturday, September 4th from 10 am to 11 am. This will be your opportunity to meet the teacher and ask her your questions regarding the classes. This orientation session will be held in English for your convenience.
